Mrs. Anna Guthsall, widow of the late Levi Gutshall, died unexpectedly last Saturday forenoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Hesse at St. Marys. The deceased lady had been a sufferer for some time with gall stones, but her fatal attack dated only from the morning of the day previous.

Gutshall on December 23, 1880 and together they came to Kansas at once, locating on a farm west of Rossville where the home had been maintained ever since with the exception of a short period she resided in her residence on south Main Street in Rossville.
To this union three children were born, one of whom, Reuben, has preceded her to the great beyond. The surviving members of her family are a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Hesse, of St. Marys, and Mr. William Gutshall of the home address; two grandchildren, Mrs. L.M. Burke, of St. Joseph, Mo, and Mw. L. Funeral services were held Monday, August 27, at 2 o'clock from the Rossville Presbyterian church of which the deceased was a member, conducted by the pastor, Dr. James Naismith. The R.N. A. lodge of St. Marys, of which Mrs. Gutshall was a member, attended the service in a body.
