    Miss Hale is one of Rossville's most estimable young ladies and the Reporter joins in wishing her abundant prosperity and happiness.

    Clara Alice Kennedy

    Clara Alice Kennedy, 90, Emmett, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Community Hospital, St. Marys.

    She was born August 14, 1914, on a farm near St. Marys, the daughter of Joseph E. and Alice Hale Aubert.

    She grew up in the St. Marys community and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School Academy in 1932. Clara was a homemaker and farm wife. She had worked at Eshbach Grocery Store in Emmett for over 10 years.

    She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett, and a member of the Altar Society at the Church. She also was a member of the Immaculate Conception Perpetual Adoration Chapel in St. Marys. Since the 1940s, Clara was a member of the Jolly Workers Club in Emmett. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #178 in St. Marys, and a member of TOPS since 1985. She was a liaison for the Area Agency on Aging for the [missing some]

    Surviving her are a brother, James Aubert, St. Mars, a sister, Anna Verschelden, St. Marys, 12 Godchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

    A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday (this afternoon) at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Center, in St. Marys.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Holly Cross Catholic Church and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys. 66536.
