    Mr. and Mrs. Albert Martinek, Rossville, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on June 23. They do not plan to have a formal celebration.

    Albert Martinek and Frances Badura were married at the courthouse in Topeka by the judge on June 23, 1920, and have lived in the Rossville community all their lives. They farmed and lived in the country until 20 years ago when they moved to their home on Main Street.

    The couple has one daughter, Blanche Bales, Topeka.

    Mr. and Mrs. Albert Martinek celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception June 23, 1980, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Layne. Co-hosting were Ann and David Cunningham.

    Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cerny, Frank Cerny, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis, Mr. and Mrs. August Stach, Mary and Mrs. Helen Kratina.

    Mrs. Frances B. Martinek

    ROSSVILLE -- Mrs. Frances Badura Martinek, 85, at Rossville, died Saturday, Feb. 1, at a Topeka hospital.

    She was born Jan. 29, 1901, at Rossville, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Hejtmanek, Badura.

    Mrs. Martinek was a member of Czeck Presbyterian Church and S.B.A. Lodge.

    She was married to Albert J. Martinek June 23, 1920. They farmed from 1920 until 1959 when they retired and moved to Rossville. He survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Bales, Topeka; and a brother, Henry Badura, Rossville.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Martinek will lie in state from 4 until 9 p.m. today at the mortuary where the family will meet friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 5375 S.W. 7th, Topeka, 66606.

    She was born Jan. 29, 1901, at Rossville, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Hejtmanek, Badura.

    Mrs. Martinek was a member of Czeck Presbyterian Church and S.B.A. Lodge.

    She was married to Albert J. Martinek June 23, 1920. They farmed from 1920 until 1959 when they retired and moved to Rossville. He survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Bales, Topeka; and a brother, Henry Badura, Rossville. A sister, Pauline Koci, preceded her in death.

    Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Relatives and friends met from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 5375 S.W. 7th, Topeka, 66606.
