    Ruth M. Herrick
    Ruth M. Herrick, 74, Slater, MO, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at the Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, MO.

    Mrs. Herrick was born July 15, 1925, in Doniphan, MO, the daughter of John and Elsie Tyson Barker. She lived in Slater for many years and had been employed by Town and Country Shoes before she retired. She lived in Rossville for many years before she moved to Slater.

    She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Fayette, MO.

    She married Lee Herrick. He died in 1989. Two brothers also preceded her in death.

    Survivors include one son, Jim Cole, Slater, MO; three daughters, Patsy Shiflett, Fulton, MO, Pam Crutchfield, Marshall, MO, and Joyce Burke, Alexandria, VA; one brother, James Barker, Del City, OK; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

    Her service was Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at the Sweeney Reser Wills Funeral Home, Marshall, MO. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Marshall.
