    Death of Mrs. Jennie Zickefoose.
    Mrs. Jennie Zickefoose passed away yesterday at 12:80 from the result of a stroke of paralysis some time during early Wednesday morning She was found lying on the floor of her bedroom by her brother Frank Beal, about 6:30 a. m. How long she lay on the floor is not known. Mrs. Zickefoose never regained her faculties enough to be able to talk although she rallied enough to recognize persons at her bedside and use her arms.

    The passing away of Mrs. Zickefoose was a great shock to the people of Rossville as she has always enjoyed the best of health. Mrs. Zickefoose was 50 years of age on the 18th of this month. She was born McDonough county, Illinois, but for the past 47 years has been a resident of Shawnee county.

    Beside her two sons, Frank am Henry she is survived by three brothers, Frank Beal, of this city, John Beal of Weiser, Idaho, and George Beal, of Stapleton. Neb., and one sister, Mrs. Anna Cox, of Reading, Kansas. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 1:30 from the Christian church.

    Jennie R. Beal was born in Bushnell, Illinois, February 18, 1865 and died February 24, 1915, at Rossville, Kansas, age 50 years 6 days.

    Her parents came to Kansas when she was but two years of age and since that time she has resided in or neat Rossville, attending school in the first schoolhouse erected here.

    She was married to Samuel P. Zickefoose, December 25, 1883, at the home of her parents. To this union was born two sons. They lived on a farm until the death of her husband, Sept 2, 1885. She lived with her parents for a few years and then moved to Rossville to educate her boys.

    She joined the Christian church here in February, 1894 and has lived all earnest Christian life. Her entire time has been spent in aiding and caring for her loved ones, never tiring in her efforts, to assist a friend in need. Now she is at rest. She has heard “well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joys of thy Lord.” She leaves two sons, one sister, three brothers six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
