    Mae B. Thompson
    Mae B. Thompson, 94, Topeka, died Friday., October 18, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.

    Mrs. Thompson was considered the first woman draftsman hired by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

    She was born December 20,1986, at Marshall, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin and Maude Perry Blanton.

    She was married to Edwin Callaway Thompson in 1918 in Topeka. The couple lived in Maple Hill most of their married life. He preceded her in death.

    Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Westlund, Chico, Calif.; a son, Robert Thompson, Callahan, Calif.; nine grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

    Graveside services were 11 a.m. Monday in Maple Hill Cemetery.

    Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
