    Carolyn Alice Linsey
    March 14,1926 - February 26,2014
    Carolyn was born in Plainville, CT to Raymond and
    Genevieve (Payne) Blauvelt. Carolyn had 3-brothers and 3-sisters; graduated from Plainville High School in 1944; and attended 1 year of Bible College in Providence, Rhode Island.

    After college Carolyn worked for the telephone company in Connecticut, California and Kansas. She married H. Dean Linsey in Santa Monica, California on June 4th, 1954 and they moved to Topeka, Kansas and later settled in Silver Lake, Kansas. Carolyn spent the rest of her years as a homemaker and community volunteer. She enjoyed reading, crafts and painting of many pictures.

    She is survived by her husband of 60 years; 2 sons; Dean Linsey and wife Jeanne of Silver Lake, Kansas; Russell Linsey of McCracken, Kansas; sister; Naomi Rudolf of Connecticut; brother Jerry Blauvelt of California; 2 grandchildren, Michelle Brown and husband Chris; Colin Linsey and wife Aimee; and 5 great-grandchildren; Kevin, Kris, Kaiden, Brooke and Logan. She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law; Laura (Casey) Linsey.

    Cremation has taken place at Midwest Cremation Society, Inc., Topeka, Kansas. Services will be at Silver Lake United Methodist Church, 204 Mador St., Silver Lake, Kansas on Saturday, March 1,2014 at 1 p.m.
