    Leatha L. Bishop
    ONAGA — Leatha L. Bishop, 89, Onaga, died Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, at an Onaga nursing home.
    Mrs. Bishop and her husband farmed northwest of Havensville until 1971.
    She was born Sept. 21, 1907, at West¬phalia, the daughter of Bud and Mary Mertz Brees. She moved to Onaga from Havensville in 1981.
    She married Cleon A. Bishop on Oct. 3, 1928, at Holton. He died May 31. 1980.
    Survivors include two sons, Carl Bishop, Salina, and Glen Bishop, St. Marys; three daughters, Dorothy Cline and Mary McDougal, both of Havensville, and Helen Rose, Onaga; a brother, Bill Brees, Delia; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Havensville Christian Church. Burial will be at the Havensville Cemetery. Mrs. Bishop will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at Tessendorf-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga, where relatives and friends will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. She also will lie in state an hour before service time Thurs¬day at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Havensville Christian Church or to Golden Acres Activity Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.

    Leatha L. Bishop
    Leatha L. Bishop, 89, Onaga, died Monday, December 30, 1996, at the Golden Acres Nursing Cen¬ter in Onaga.
    She was born September 21, 1907, at Westphalia, the daughter of Bud and Mary Mertz Brees.
    She married Cleon A. Bishop October 3, 1928, at Holton. He died May 31, 1980. The couple farmed northwest of Havensville until 1971. She moved to Onaga from Havensville in 1981. She had lived at Golden Acres Nursing Center since 1985.
    Survivors include two sons, Carl Bishop, Salina, and Glen Bishop, St. Marys; three daughters, Dorothy Cline and Mary McDougal, both of Havensville, and Helen Rose, Onaga; a brother, Bill Brees, Delia, 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren.
    Relatives and friends met from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Tessendorf-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Her service was at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Havensville Christian Church. Burial was in the Havensville Cemetery.
