    Navarre-Brennan Vows Solemnized at St. Marys Catholic Church

    Miss Joyce Navarre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Navarre of Rossville became the bride of Mr. Roderick W. Brennan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Brennan, St. Marys, Saturday morning, January 16, at the Immaculate Conception Church at St. Marys.

    The Rev. Gerald VanAckeren, S.J. officiated at the double ring ceremony and read the nuptial mass before an altar decorated with pink gladioli.

    Miss Jeannine Mock, Sabetha, Kansas, played the wedding music and accompanied Miss Mary Alice Passman of Topeka, who sang Shubert's "Ave Maria", "Pan Angelicus", "Mother, At Thy Feet I'm Kneeling".

    The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white lace and tulle over satin, with hooped skirt. The bolero jacket was fashioned with long sleeves tapered at the hands. The veil of nylon net was held in place by a cloche of matching lace edged in pearls and rhinestones. She wore a single strand of pearls, gift from the groom and carried a colonial bouquet of white roses.

    Mrs. Joe Plantamura, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a ballerina length dress of seafoam green pure silk and net, fashioned with fitted bodice, full skirt and matching net stole and coronet. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses.

    Dr. James Brennan, brother of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were the grooms brother, Edward Brennan, and cousin, Robert McNieve of Topeka.

    A reception was held after the wed- [error in article] at the bride's home. The table was covered with lace cloth and centered with a three tiered wedding cake surrounded with pink carnations and greenery. Crystal candelabra held pink tapers. Mrs. Glenn Groves of Long Beach, California, Miss Mary Alice Passman and Mrs. John Olson, Topeka, assisted with the serving. Miss Jeannine Mock, Sabetha, had charge of the guest book.

    Mrs. Brennan graduated from Rossville High School and St. Mary College, Xavier, where she received a Bachelor of Music Education Degree. Mr. Brennan graduated from Immaculate Conception High School at St. Marys and attended Creighton University and Rockhurst College.

    The couple left Saturday afternoon on a short wedding trip after which Mr. Brennan, who is a Yeoman First Class in the U.S. Coast Guard, returned to Juneau, Alaska. Mrs. Brennan will join him later.

    Brennan-Catron Wedding Vows Exchanged April 21 in Rossville

    The wedding of Miss Colleen Brennan and Mr. Keith Catron was solemnized Saturday, April 21, 1979, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville, with Fr. Clarence Krajicek officiating. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Joyce Brennan and the late Roderick Brennan, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Catron, Mayetta.

    Attending the bride were her sister, Lisa Brennan, Mrs. Karen Leeper, Rossville, and Mrs. Leslie Kibbe, Maple Hill. The bridegroom’s attendents [sic] were his brother, Rod Catron, Mike Kerwin, Delia, and Daryl Mitchell, Rossville.

    Mrs. Catron’s gown was of jersey in classic white with a modified Queen Anne neckline enhanced by a garden of floral Venice lace. Lace capped the shoulders to begin the tapered sleeves and encircled the empire waist of the gown from which fell the full skirt formed of the fluid fabric. Motifs of lace adorned the front of the skirt and a flowing cathedral train finished the gown. A mantilla-style veil of white illusion was trimmed with scattered motifs and was held by a dainty milkmaid cap of lace.

    Mr. and Mrs. Catron are graduates of Rossville High School. Mrs. Catron is employed by the Orthopedic Clinic of Topeka, P.A. Mr. Catron is employed by Rossville Truck and Tractor Co. Inc. They are at home at 100 Ross Court, Rossville.

    Colleen Brennan became the bride of Keith Catron in ceremonies at 2 p.m. April 21, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville. The Rev. Clarence Krijacek officiated.

    The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Joyce Brennan, Rossville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Catron, Mayetta.

    Attending the bride were Lisa Brennan and Karen Leeper, Rossville; and Leslie Kibbie [sic Kibbe], Maple Hill. Attending the bridegroom were Rod Catron and Michael Kerwin, Delia; and Daryl Mitchell, Rossville.

    The bride is a graduate of Rossville High School and Kaw Valley Area Vocational-Technical School and is employed by Orthopedic Clinic of Topeka, P.A. The bridegroom is a graduate of Rossville High School and is employed by Rossville Truck and Tractor Co.

    The couple is at home at 100 Ross Court, Rossville.

    The engagement of Miss Colleen Brennan to Mr. Keith Catron is announced by the bride-elect’s mother, Mrs. Joyce Brennan.

    Miss Brennan, daughter of the late R. W. Brennan, was graduated from Rossville High School and is employed as a medical secretary at the Orthopedic Clinic in Topeka. Mr. Catron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Catron, also was graduated from Rossville High School and is employed by Rossville Truck and Tractor.

    An April wedding is planned.
