  Obituary- Bouse, Amy Rossville Reporter THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1936 Deaths and Funerals BOUSE Amy Clark, third child of George Bozarth Clark and Matilda Stone Clark, was born Dec. 8, 1845, at Ireland, Lewis county, West Virginia. She was married to Jesse Sumner Bouse, January 4, I860. To this un¬ion were born six children: C. E. Bouse, Rupert, Idaho; J. S. Bouse, who died January 26, 1886; Mrs. Bertha Patton, Denison. Kan.; Dr. W. G. Bouse, Goff, Kan.; Mrs. Ethel Coombs, Santa Fe, N. M.; T. L. Bouse, Rossville, Kansas. The family came to Kansas in 1830 and settled near Whiting, Kansas, where they resided until moving to Birmingham in 1890. In 1903 they moved to Holton, where her husband died Feb. 21, 1905. Since then she has made her home with her daugh¬ter, Mrs. Bertha Patton, Dennison, at which place she passed away Jan. 31, 1936, aged 90 years, one month and twenty-three days. She has been a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church since December, 1865. Mrs. Bouse was a woman highly esteemed by all who knew her, a lov¬ing mother and a kind friend. To her was granted the blessing of long life with the use of all of her facul¬ties, enabling her to maintain an in¬telligent interest in the affairs of the day until the very close of her life, which came after a very short illness. Her funeral service was held at the M. E. church in Denison, Feb. 2, and conducted by Rev. Ferguson and Rev. Tharp. A quartet com¬posed of McCloud Braum, Burgess Daniel, Mrs. Otis Humphrey, and Mrs. Walter Coleman, accompanied by Miss Doris Coleman, sang “ROCK of Ages,” “Come Ye Disconsolate” and “It is Well With My Soul.” All of her children were present except C. E. Bouse of Idaho. Besides her children she is survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchild¬ren, two brothers and two sisters. The pallbearers were her grand¬sons, Joe and Jesse Patton, the hus¬bands of her granddaughters, Ches¬ter Bartlett and Clifford Shumaker, Lawrence Roudebush and John Darlington. Those attending from a distance were James Hatch, Allen and James Hatch, Jr., Mrs. Ida Gaines, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bouse from Freeman, Mo., and Mrs. Ethel Coombs from Santa Fe, New Mexico. _____ Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Bouse spent several days at Denison last week called by the critical illness of, his mother, Mrs. L. Bouse who passed away Friday.
