In a candlelight ceremony Sunday, December 26, at the Nazarene Church Gaylor, decorated with poinsettias, Miss Sharon Lee Conrad and Mr. Floyd Standridge, Jr., exchanged wedding vows. Rev. M.A. Ecker officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Quincy Conrad of Portis, and Mrs. Voyce Standridge, Delia and Mr. Floyd Standridge, Fort Smith, Arkansas, are the parents of the bridegroom.

"Oh Promise Me," Whither Thou Goest," and "The Wedding Prayer" were sung by Dale Conrad, Salina, brother of the bride. Miss Tonja Norris accompanied him.

The gown worn by the bride had a bodice of Imported lace with long tapered sleeves and a scalloped neckline. The softly flared skirt of satin formed a chapel train. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion fell from a crown of pearls and crystals and she carried a cascade of of red roses and a white orchid on a white Bible.

Mrs. Lawrence Conrad, Harlan, served as matron of honor and Miss Trudy Eller, Manhattan, was bridesmaid. They are both cousins of the bride. Miss Cindy Conrad, Harlan, another cousin, and Miss Dixie Conrad, Portis, sister of the bride, were candlelighters. These attendants wore red velvet dresses and carried long-stemmed white roses. Each wore red tulle veils held by red velvet roses.

Mrs. Larry Teske, Delia, served as best man and Steve Conrad, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The ushers were: Bennie Martin, Manhattan, cousin of the bridge, and Gary Ward, Delia.

After the ceremony a reception was held in the Legion Hall. The bride's cake was a three-tier cake topped with satin bells and trimmed with red roses.

The bride chose as her going away outfit a beige wool fitted suit with olive green accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. Standridge are making their home at 832 Ohio, Holton. Mrs. Standridge will continue teaching at Netawaka High school and Mr. Standridge at Delia High School.
