    Mrs. Earl Strimple
    Killed in auto crash
    Mrs. Ann Davis Strimple of Wichita was killed April 21 in a two-car crash about seven miles west of Greensburg, Kansas, on U.S. 54.

    She was born July 22, 1908, in Nara Visa, N.M., and the family came to Kansas in 1919. She attended grade school in Rozelle, Kan., and was graduated from high school at Liberal, Kan., in 1926. She was graduated from Fort Hays State Teachers College with AB and BS degrees in 1931.

    On Sept. 4, 1931, she married Earl E. Strimple. They lived in Topeka until they moved to Wichita in 1939.

    She was a member of the First Methodist Church at Wichita, Woman’s Society of Christian Service, Commission on Christian Social Concern, Fidelis Sunday School Class, American Association for the United Nations, Wichita Community Committee for Social Action, Central Committee of the International Relations Institute, St. Francis Boys Home, 20th Century Club, Book Explorers Club and Pi Kappa Delta.

    Survivors include her widower; two daughters, Mrs. Robert F. James, Syracuse, Kan., and Mrs. Gerald Thomas, Eugene, Ore.; her mother, Mrs. Maude Davis, Garfield; one sister, Mrs. Harry Tomlinson, Garfield; three brothers, Albert, Topeka, Victor, Scott City, and Herbert, Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

    Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, in the First Methodist Church in Wichita. Graveside services were in Garfield, Kansas.

    A memorial has been established with the First Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Wichita.
