    Janet Armstrong Marx
    Janet Armstrong Marx, 79, Rossville, died Friday, November 2, 2001, at a Topeka care facility. She was born October 5, 1922, at Wetmore, the daughter of Grant and Martha Turnbull Deahl. She worked at both the Merry Manor Nursing Home in Holton and Silver Lake Nursing Home, Silver Lake.

    She was a member of the Rossville Bible Church in Rossville.

    On June 14, 1939, she married Raymond Armstrong in Topeka. He died December 29, 1971. She married Marvin Marx in 1973. He is also deceased. Survivors include three sons, Jack Armstrong, Overbrook, Francis J. “Jim” Armstrong, Silver Lake, and Vern Armstrong, Rossville; a sister, Olive Bishop, Truth or Consequences, NM; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral service for Mrs. Marx will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rossville Bible Church. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday (tonight) from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.

    Memorial contributions may be given to the Midland Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home.
