    Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Ellwood will observe their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, February 23, with a noon basket dinner at Garfield Park Shelterhouse in Topeka for their relatives, and with open house at their home. 1504 Campbell Street in Topeka, from 3 to 5 pm. All friends and relatives are cordially invited.

    Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood were married February 26, 1908, at Turney, Mo. They are the parents of three children. Jack of Springfield. Mo.: Mrs. W. L. O’Brien, Lancaster. California; and Mrs. Bennie Dick, of Rossville. They have seven grand children and two great-grandchildren.

    Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Sr., Rossville, are invited to help them celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, December 28, 1986, at 2:30 p.m. Bennie Oliver Dick and Lorena May Ellwood were married December 31, 1926, at Ottawa, Ks. They have lived in Rossville since 1939.

    The reception in the Rossville Christian Church, 411 Spruce, will be hosted by their children: Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dick, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dick, all of Rossville.

    Mr. and Mrs. Dick have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Dick is a retired farmer.

    Mrs. Lorena M. Dick

    ROSSVILLE - Mrs. Lorena M. Dick, 79, Rossville, died Friday, Nov. 11, 1988, at a Topeka hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1909, at Lathrop, Mo., the daughter of Henry E. and Lena M. Neff Ellwood. She grew up in the Buck Creek community near Williamstown in Jefferson County and attended Chester Elementary School. She lived in the Rossville area since 1939.

    She was married to Bennie O. Dick Dec. 31, 1926, at Ottawa. He survives. She was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Oliver Dick, in 1927.

    Other survivors include three sons, Bennie O. Dick Jr., Wayne G. Dick and Gary L. Dick, all of Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Theora D. O'Brien, Branson, Mo.; a brother, Jack Ellwood, Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Christian Church at Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Dick will lie in state from 9 a.m. today until 9 a.m. Monday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys and n hour before service time Monday at the church. The family will meet with friends from 7 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

    Lorena M. Dick

    Lorena M. Dick, 79, Rossville, died Friday, November 11, 1988, at a Topeka hospital.

    She was born October 5, 1909, at Lathrop, Mo., the daughter of Henry E. and Lena M. Neff Ellwood. She grew up in the Buck Creek community hear Williamstown in Jefferson County and attended Chester Elementary School. She lived in the Rossville area since 1939.

    She was married to Bennie O. Dick, Sr., December 31, 1926, at Ottawa. He survives.

Casket bearers were Randy Dick, Rodney Dick, Scott Dick, Kevin Dick, Jeff Dick, and Jeff Wehner. The family met with friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Verschelden Funeral Homde in St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church.
