  Documents		Anniversary- Ford, Henry and Mary Their Golden Wedding Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Ford celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last Sunday by a family reunion. The exact date of the anniversary was the day previous and owing to the inability of the sons and daughters to be present the gathering was postponed one day. Two daughters with their families, of Oklahoma, were not present but the other children, Henry Ford and family of Topeka, Ben Ford and family of Delia, Mrs. Emma Enos and daughter, of Oklahoma City, Sherman James an family, and Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Parr and daughter were present. Mr. and Mrs. Ford have looked forward to this occasion for some time, both because it is an event celebrated by few couples and because it was a date set for the homecoming of all their children. The dinner was prepared and served by the daughters, Mrs. Ford being in ill health at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Ford were married July 18, 1864 in Manhattan, Kan. They settled in this community on the old home farm southwest of Rossville, long before the present town was started. From a piece of most unpromising timber land they kept working away clearing and improving from time to time until it was worth nearly as much an acre as Mr. Ford was offered for the whole piece in the early days. About six years ago Mr. and Mrs. Ford moved to Rossville to rest and enjoy the fruits of their many years labors. The Reporter wishes to extend to Mr. and Mrs. Ford its heartiest congratulations and trust their usual good health will permit them to celebrate many more wedding anniversaries. ------- Saturday, July 18, will be the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Ford, and the occasion will be celebrated by a family reunion. Mrs. Lulu Ward and children, of Lexington, Okla., and Mrs. Alice Hubyca, of Oklahoma City, are expected here and Mr. and Mrs. Ford hope to have every child and grandchild with them on this day --9 July 1914

  Documents		Marriage- Ford, Emma-Enos, Pascal The Enos-Ford Wedding A very quiet wedding was solemnized Wednesday afternoon when Miss Emma Ford and Mr. P.P. Enos both of this place were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Ford, west of town, the Rev. E.W. Allen of the M.E. Church officiating. Only the immediate relatives and friends of the bride and groom were present. The bride was handsomely attired in pure white - white net over white silk, directore girdle and sash, and carried a profusion of brides roses. She wore no jewelry save the solitaire diamond wedding ring. The groom was garbed in the customary black. The ceremony itself was the simple yet impressive ritualistic ring service. The decorations were quite elaborate in which Mistletoe seat from Lexington Oklahoma by friends of the bride predominated. After the ceremony and congratulations a wedding dinner was served and the evening was spent in pleasant social communion. The bride is one of Rossville's most popular young lady; handsome, talented and possessing all the womanly virtues and charms that go to make up a home of refreshment and culture. Mr. Enos, the groom, is the son of Mrs. M. Enos and has grown to manhood in this town. For several years past he has been employed in Kansas City. Gifted with a natural shrewdness and a keen sense of humor, he is jolly and companionable and easily makes and retains steadfast friends and his future gives promise of unstinted success and happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Enos left yesterday for Kansas City where they will spend a short honeymoon with friends after which they will go to Oklahoma City, Okla. where Mr. Enos will be associated with his brother-in-law, Mr. C.W. Hubyeka, in the Southwestern Granite & Marble Company of that city. May their pathway through life be strewn with fairest flowers.

EMMA DAVIS Services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Christian Church at Rossville for Mrs. Emma Davis, 89, Topeka, who died Friday, May 4, 1973, in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted earlier the same day. She was born May 4, 1884, at Rossville and spent most of her life in the Rossville community. She formerly taught in schools in the Rossville community. She was a member of the Rossville Christian church. She was married to Pascual Enos December 12, 1908. He died in September, 1947. She was married to Henry Davis in September, 1949. He died in 1970. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Underwood, Sunland, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Whitten, Topeka,; a son, Dr. Jack Enos, Yukon, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Catherine Haynes, and Mrs. Betty Pence, both of Topeka; four stepsons, Francis Davis, Dorr, Mich., Glen H. Davis, Elmer D. Davis, and Dale A. Davis, all of Topeka; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Parker Mortuary had charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church. She was born May 4, 1884, at Rossville, and was a member of the Rossville Christian Church. She was married to Pascual Enos, Dec. 12, 1908. He died in 1947. She was married to Henry Davis in 1949, and he died in 1970. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Underwood, Sunland, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Whitten, 3426 Clare; a son, Dr. Jack Enos, Yukon, Okla.; six step-children; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Rossville Christian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Davis will lie in state at Parker Mortuary after 6 p.m. today.
