    Anna Marie Meyer
    ST. MARYS — Anna Marie Meyer, 84, St. Marys, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, at her home.

    Mrs. Meyer worked in the laundry department at the St. Marys College for several years, many years ago. She later did ironing in her home.

    She was born Oct. 11, 1912, in St. Marys, the daughter of Mike and Anna Homan Fuhr. She was a lifelong St. Marys resident.

    Mrs. Meyer was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

    She married Fred “Fritz'' Meyer on May 6, 1941, in St. Marys. He died April 25, 1975.

    Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Doty, St. Marys; a son, Tom Meyer, Rossville; two brothers, Mike Fuhr and Nick Fuhr, both of St. Marys; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys. Mrs. Meyer will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottawatomie-Wabaunsee Regional Library or to the Rossville Community Library and sent in care of the funeral home.
