    DeElla Alice Johnson
    ROSSVILLE - DeElla Alice Johnson, 77, Rossville, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at her home. She was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Plainview, Neb., to James Marion and Alice Rosebud Brees Gee. She grew up in Plainview and move to Seattle when she was in ninth grade. She moved to Topeka in the early 50's and later lived in Rossville the past several years. She worked at Topeka State Hospital and later at the Kansas Neurological Institute before she retired. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Rossville and Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Rossville. She married Fred F. Johnson on June 14, 1950, in Topeka. He died in February 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Ketter, Rossville; two sons, Pat Johnson, Rossville, and Mike Johnson, Topeka; a brother, George Gee, Seattle; eight grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville. Burial will be in West Lawn Memori al Gardens in Topeka. She will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel in Rossville, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Kansas Parkinson's Disease Association, 1726 S.W. Shunga Dr., Topeka, Kan. 66611. Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville is in charge of arrangements.
