    Mary Ann Besta
    WAMEGO — Mary Ann Besta, 83, Wamego, died Friday, June 5, 1998, at a Wamego nursing home.
    Mrs. Besta and her husband farmed near Wamego until the 1970s. She later was a baker for Derby Food Center at Kansas State University in Manhattan for several years.
    She was born May 11, 1915, at Belvue, the daughter of William and Caroline Trieber Grieshaber. She was graduated from Paxico High School.
    Mrs. Besta was a member of the vermillion FCE in Wamego.
    She married Fred Kobiskkle in 1936. He died in 1981. She married Albert Besta in 1984 at Wells Creek. He died in 1997.
    Survivors include two daughters, Linda Bellinder and Sandra Borger, both of WaŽmego; two brothers, Henry Grieshaber, BelŽvue, and Carl Grieshaber, St. Marys; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at R.J. Evans Mortuary in Wamego. Burial will be in Wamego City Cemetery. Mrs. Besta will lie in state from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and sent in care of the mortuary.
