    John Kellers Surprised with Anniversary Party

    Mr. and Mrs. John Vernon Keller, Rossville, were honored with a surprise 35th wedding anniversary party on Saturday, November 29. The party was given by their children -- Skip and Karen Keller, Roger and Bonnie Bush, Mick and Jan Keller, and Dave and Connie Jeanneret.

    The evening was spent playing cards and visiting.     John and Bonnie Keller. Rossville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today with a family dinner.

    John Vernon Keller and Bonnie Groff were married Dec. 17, 1945, in Topeka.

    They are the parents of Skip and Karen Keller, Emmett; Bonnie and Roger Bush, and Mick Keller, all of Rossville; and Connie and Don Mulanax, St. Marys. They have nine grandchildren.

    Mr. Keller is retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Mrs. Keller previously worked for the Kaw Valley USD 321 food services and Channel’s Grocery.

    John Vernon Keller and Bonnie Genevieve Groff were married Dec. 17,1945.

    Bonnie G. Keller
    Bonnie G. Keller, 85, formerly of Rossville & Delia, passed away Friday, February 10,2012 at the Homestead of Topeka.

    She was born November 30, 1926 at Hays the daughter of the late James Anton and Nellie Alberta Higgins Groff. Bonnie was raised in the Hays community and graduated from Hays High School. After graduation, she moved to Rossville.

    Mrs. Keller had worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka. She later worked for Channel Grocery Store and USD No. 321 in food services, both in Rossville. Bonnie was a member of the Delia Presbyterian Church, the Ladies Farm Bureau Club and the Card Party Group.

    On December 17, 1945 she was united in marriage to John Vernon Keller at Topeka. He died on January 4, 2008. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cindy Lee Keller, a daughter, Bonnie Ellen Bush, brothers, Walter James and Homer Dale Groff and a sister, Helen L. Harmany.

    Survivors include two sons, Lindsay R. "Skip" (Karen) Keller, Emmett and Michael V. Keller, Rossville; a daughter, Connie Sue (Don) Mulanax, Emmett; her son-in-law, Roger Bush, Rossville; a brother, Wayne A. Groff; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 14,2012 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Interment will be in the Delia Cemetery. Mrs. Keller will lie in state on Tuesday an hour before service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delia Presbyterian Church or Grace Hospice and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, St. Marys.     Bonnie G. Keiler
