    Marilyn H. Eakin
    Marilyn H. Eakin, 66, Rossville, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at the Rossville Valley Manor.
    She was born March 19, 1936, in Holton, the daughter of Harmon and Helen Elliott Haag.
    She grew up in the Holton com¬munity and was graduated from Hol¬ton High School in 1954. She had lived in the Delia community for many years before moving to Ross¬ville in 1989. She was an administra¬tive assistant for the Department of Corrections for 13 years, and had worked for Alliance Insurance Com¬pany in Topeka for several years. Mrs. Eakin was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, and was a former member of the Ex¬tension Homemakers Unit in Delia.
    On November 20, 1955, she mar¬ried Edward E. Eakin in Holton. He died July 7, 1985. She was also pre¬ceded in death by a sister, Donna Houghton.
    Surviving her are three sons, Tony Eakin and Doug Eakin, Rossville, and Dennis Eakin, Delia; a daughter, Lynne Krische, Lakewood, CO; and five grandchildren.
    Mrs. Eakin was cremated. A me¬morial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rossville United Methodist Church. Inurnment was in the Delia Cemetery at Delia.

    Marilyn Eakin
    ROSSVILLE — Marilyn H. Eakin, 66, Rossville, died Thursday, April 11,2002, at a Rossville nursing home,
    Mrs. Eakin was an administrative assistant for the Department of Corrections for 13 years and also had worked for the Alliance Insurance Co. in Topeka for several years.
    She was born March 19, 1936, in Holton, the daughter of Harmon and Helen Elliott Haag. She was raised in Holton and graduated from Holton High School in 1954. She lived for many years in Delia before she moved to Rossville in 1989.
    Mrs. Eakin was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church and the extension homemakers unit in Delia.
    She married Edward E. Eakin on Nov. 20, 1955, in Holton. He died on July 7, 1985.
    Survivors include three sons, Tony Eakin and Doug Eakin, both of Rossville, and Dennis Eakin, Delia; a daughter, Lynne Krische, Lakewood, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
    Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday l at Rossville United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Delia Cemetery in Delia. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Community Library and sent in care of Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys.
