    Mrs. Emma Nider
    Mrs. Emma Nider, 76, Blue Rapids, died Tuesday, May 27, 1986, at a Marysville hospital.

    Mrs. Nider was a grocery clerk in Blue Rapids and in the Topeka area many years.

    She was born April 18, 1910, at Natoma in Osborne County, the daughter of Jacob Walter and Mary Lillian Hula Henrich.

    Mrs. Nider was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 337, George Bedford Unit No. 169 of the American Legion Auxiliary and Wednesday Afternoon Club, all at Blue Rapids.

    She was married to Vernon Nider June 1, 1928, at Plainville. He died in February 1972.

    Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Joan Mettler, Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Marlain Byrd, Topeka, and Mrs. Mary Ann Craft, WaKeeney; four sons, Harold “Dean” Nider, Washington, Bill Nider, Pawnee City, Nebr., Roy Nider, Axtell, and Larry Robert Nider, Rossville; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Buchholz, Mrs. Ruby Bromar and Mrs. Jessie Cassie Mather, all of Blue Rapids, and Mrs. Elizabeth Ghan, Purdy, Mo.; four brothers, Theodore Henrich, Lovell, Wyo., William Henrich, Ramsen, Ia., Clinton Henrich, Dallas, Tex., and Jesse Henrich, Salt Lake City, Utah; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Presbyterian Church at Blue Rapids. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Blue Rapids. Contributions may be made to the Mrs. Emma Nider Memorial Fund to be designated later by relatives and sent in care of the Perry Funeral Home in Blue Rapids.
