    Mrs. John W. Owens
    Mrs. Violet Lenora Owens, 71, of 820 Monroe died Wednesday morning in a Topeka hospital.

    She was a member of the First Christian church, the Beulah chapter 34 OES, the Ancient Toltec Rite, and the Royal Neighbors lodge.

    Born at Little River on May 9, 1881, she was married February 18, 1900, in Topeka to John W. Owens, who survives. She also leaves a son, Claude Owens of 416 Clay; four grandsons; two brothers, Ed Hope of Los Angeles and Hugh Hope of Hunter; a half-sister, Mrs. Ruth McCutcheon of San Francisco.

    Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery under direction of Wall-Diffenderfer mortuary.
