    Hosting the occasion will be their children: Teresa and Lloyd Miller, Delia, Genevieve and Donald Jenssen, Patricia Bixby, and Betty and Eric Hinterweger, Rossville, and their families.

    Oscar Bixby and Charlotte Hurla were married November 25,1930, at the Sacred Heart Church in Delia. Mr. Bixby is a retired farmer. The couple has 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

    Charlotte A. Bixby
    Charlotte A. Bixby, 87, Rossville, died Tuesday, March 12, 1996, at her home.
    Mrs. Bixby and her husband farmed in the Rossville area.
    She was born July 13, 1908, at Soldier, the daughter of Michael B. and Elizabeth A. Salisbury Hurla. She had lived at Rossville since 1930.
    Mrs. Bixby was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville and the altar society at the church. She also was a mem¬ber of the Country Side Club at Rossville.
    She married Oscar H. Bixby November 25, 1930, at Delia. He died April 20, 1992. A grand-daughter, Joyce Jenssen, died Au¬gust 3, 1963.
    Survivors include four daugh¬ters, Teresa Miller, Delia, Genevieve Jenssen, Patricia Bixby and Betty Hinterweger, all of Rossville; five sisters, Beulah Curran, Lecompton, Monica McCarter, Carbondale, Elizabeth Seematter, Beattie, and Mary Bridges and Regina Riddle, both of Topeka; a brother, Bernard Hurla, Paxico; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
    A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made either to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Building Fund, or to the Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville, and sent in care of the funeral home.
