    She was married when she was 20 years old to Charles W. Patton, and [ ] came to Rossville with her husband and family. Mr. Patton died in 1889. Mrs. Patton is survived by three children. They are: Mrs. Emma Catron of Topeka, Charles and Joshua Patton of this city.

    Mrs. Patton was a member of the Methodist Church since childhood. Her long residence in this city had endeared her to her many friends and neighbors who in their long association with her had found her to be an admirable friend and a good neighbor.

    The funeral service was held last Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church. The Reverend H.R. Orr officiated. The burial was in Rossville cemetery.
