    Mr. and Mrs. Walter McCleary [sic McCleery] returned home March 4, from a three months wedding trip. They were welcomed by a large circle of friends and neighbors at the home of Charlie Nightwine and wife. There were about two hundred young and old people in the crowd who were treated to beer, wine and sandwiches and cake. All reported a good time and wish them a long and prosperous life. They will make their home south east of St. Marys on the McCleary farm.

    "Hatt” McCleery Dies
    After Long Illness
    Mrs. Hattie McCleery, 72, Rossville, died Tuesday at a Topeka Hospital after a long illness.

    She was born January 6, 1893 in the Adrian community north of Delia and had lived in the Rossville community more than 50 years.

    Survivors include her husband, Walter (Babe) McCleery, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Hull, Spokane, Wash.

    Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary in Topeka with burial in Rossville Cemetery.
