    ESTHER A. TERRILL
    Mrs. Esther A. Terrill, 72, Burlingame, died Monday, June 11,1984, at her home.

    She was a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Nursing and was employed more than 20 years as a registered nurse at Topeka State Hospital.

    She lived in Burlingame since 1952.

    She was born Nov. 22, 1911, at Rossville, the daughter of William and Anna Hejtmanek Kovar. She lived in the Rossville-Delia area where she attended schools and church.

    Mrs. Terrill was a member of the Burlingame Federated Church and the Sunshine Extension Homemakers Unit. She hybridized irises for over 30 years and was a member of several international iris societies. She had won several bakery prizes and was the second-place winner in the 1953 Pillsbury Bake-Off.

    She was married to Joe Terrill Feb. 8, 1942, in Topeka. He survives.

    Other survivors include a son, Dr. Jerry Terrill, Houston, Tex., a sister, Lucille Kovar, Topeka, and a grandchild.

    Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Burlingame Federated Church. Graveside services were at 1:30 p.m. in the Czech-Moravian Cemetery at Delia.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Burlingame Federated Church. Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, was in charge of arrangements.

    She was born at Rossville, the daughter of William and Anna Hjetmanek Kovar.

    Mrs. Terrill was a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Nursing and was employed more than twenty years as a registered nurse at Topeka State Hospital.

    She lived in Burlingame since 1950 and was a member of the Federated Church and Friendly Neighbors Extension Homemakers Unit there. She also belonged to the Sunshine Club in Topeka. She hybridized irises for over thirty years and was a member of several international iris societies. She had won several baking prizes and was the second place winner in the 1953 Pillsbury Bake-Off.

    She was married to Joe Terrill on February 8, 1942, in Topeka. He survives.

    Other survivors include a son, Dr. Jerry Terrill; Houston, Texas: a sister, Lucille Kovar, Topeka; and a grandson, John Terrill.
