    LUCILLE L. MAUPIN
    Mrs. Lucille L. Maupin, 78, Silver Lake, died Thursday, August 28, 1980, at a Tempe, Ariz., hospital. She had been visiting a daughter at Tempe.

    She was born January 12, 1902, in St. Marys, the daughter of David and Lillith Kemp Lambert. She spent most of her life in the Silver Lake community.

    Mrs. Maupin was a member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church, both at Silver Lake.

    She married John Maupin June 30, 1923, in Topeka. He died February 27, 1969.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn J. Olson, Tempe, Ariz.; two sons, Theron L. Maupin, Topeka, and Duane L. Maupin, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Grove, Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Navarre, Rossville: four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

    Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday (this morning) at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial was in Silver Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, Ks. 66539.
