    Billie Stauffer
    Billie Marguerite Stauffer, 82, Topeka, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at a nursing home in Rossville. She had cancer.

    She was born March 27,1916, in Linn, Mo., to John Newton and Roberta Campbell Laughlin, and spent her early life in Linn, Mo., and Houston. She lived in Kansas City, Kan., before she moved to Topeka 10 years ago.

    She was a member of the Assembly of God in Kansas City Kan., where she was the church pianist and was a member of the Assembly of God in Topeka.

    She was married to John A. Stauffer on Oct. 23,1934, in Joplin, Mo. He died April 3,1995.

    Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Rissen and Marion Miller, both in Topeka; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Family Life Centre, 3710 N. Topeka. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Stauffer will lie in state after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas, 66608. Carey Funeral Home in Burlingame is in charge of arrangements.
