    The Reporter neglected to mention a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Zack Reser on the 17th at which they celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. Many of Mr. and Mrs. Reser's friends were in attendance to help them in the celebration.

    DEATH TAKES PIONEER
    ROSSVILLE WOMEN
    Mrs. Alice Reser and Mrs. Emma Stovall, Passed Away With Only A Few Hours Intervening
    Mrs. Alice Lemon Reser, aged 71, widow of the late Zack Reser, and one of the pioneer residents of RossŽville township died in Topeka at 6 o’clock Tuesday evening, July 17, in the Menninger Sanitarium followŽing an illness of several months.
    Mrs. Reser had spent practically all her life in this community coming from her Ohio home, where she was born on May 20th, 1857, with her parents, Henry and Sarah Lemon, in the early days of Kansas statehood.
    Her marriage with Zackariah Reser took place 45 years ago, in 1883. They made their home for 14 years on their farm 4 miles west of Rossville. About 21 years ago they moved into Rossville to the present home on south Main and lived a retired life. Mr. Reser passed on a trifle over a year ago.
    Mrs. Reser united with the MethoŽdist church in 1888. She also was a member of the Security Benefit Association.
    Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Edith Stewart of Rossville, a son, George, of the home address one granddaughter, Miss Vida Reser of Rossville, one sister, Mrs. Nettie Grindal of Manhattan, Kansas, four brothers, Frank and Grant Lemon, of Westmoreland; Reuben Lemon Latham, Kan.; James Lemon, RossŽville; and a half brother, Tom Lemon, Eureka, Kansas.
    Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon, at the MethoŽdist church, conducted by Rev. G. G. Horne, of Topeka.
    The pall bearers were Messrs. Harvey James, C.E. Gresser, R. Hawks, George Higginbotham, R. Shipley, and William Howerton.
    Interment was in Rossville cemeŽtery.
