    Wanda G. Bird

    Wanda G. Bird, Pittsburg, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, MO.

    Wanda was born September 17, 1931, in Farlington, the daughter of Ezra “Tuck” and Lettie Collins Leverich.

    On September 9, 1952, she married Everett L. Bird in Astoria, OR. He died October 22, 1997. Also preceding her in death were a son, Robert A. Bird, a brother, Richard Leverich, and two sisters, Betty Short and Darlene Leverich.

    Wanda worked as a hairdresser for 13 years and a property manager for 20 years before retiring in 1996.

    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

    Survivors include a son, Jack V. Bird, Rossville; three sisters, Pat Mayberry and Connie Clinton, both of Pittsburg, and Evelyn Nagy, Doniphan, MO; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

    Her Service was at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, Pittsburg. Burial followed in the Girard City Cemetery, Girard
