    Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mitchell will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children, Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, O’Fallon, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mitchell; and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mitchell, Delia.

    No invitations are being sent, but friends and relatives are invited to call at the Rossville Community Center between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30. The couple ask that no gifts be presented.

    Mr. Mitchell was a farmer and stockman in the Delia community before he retired.

    The Mitchells have 10 grandchildren.

    CLARA E. MITCHELL
    Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Clara Edith Mitchell, 87, Rossville. She died Wednesday, July 2, 1986, at the Rossville Valley Manor.

    Mrs. Mitchell had taught at Stach School at Delia and Walnut Hill School before she retired.

    She was born March 14, 1899, north of Silver Lake, the daughter of George B. and Bessie Housknecht Mahon.

    Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Delia Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, and a former member of Loyal Chapter No. 176, Order of the Eastern Star, at Silver Lake. She was one of the founders of the Lucky Five Club at Delia.

    She was married to Earl Mitchell April 29, 1922, at
    Topeka. He survives.

    Other survivors include two sons, Bill Mitchell and Jack Mitchell, both of Delia; a daughter, Mrs. Maureen Wilson, O’Fallon, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Harris, Burr Oak; and 13 grandchildren.

    Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. The family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, P.O. Box 1427, Topeka, 66601.
