    Stella Rae Millar
    ROSSVILLE - Stella Rae Millar, 66, formerly of Rossville, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in a Mesa, Ariz., hospital.

    Mrs. Millar and her husband had managed Nickerson Farms Restaurant in Paxico and later the XIT Restaurant on I-70 in Maple Hill. They later owned and operated Millar Restaurant in Maple Hill and then in Rossville.

    She was born March 3, 1932, in Gaines, W.Va., the daughter of Vorice Edward and Bertha Hamner Marley. She graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School in Buckhannon, W.Va. She moved to Mesa, Ariz., from the Maple Hill and Rossville area 14 years ago.

    She married Howard E. Millar on July 24, 1956, in Sutton, W.Va. He died Aug. 27, 1993. Mrs. Millar also was preceded in death by a son, Howard Millar Jr., and a grandson, David Hamm.

    Survivors include two daughters, Veroni-ca Decker, Mesa, Ariz., and Barbara Hamm, Frontenac; four sisters, Betty Collins, Helen Lee, Sue Davidson and Lehbelle Cogar, all of Rock Cave, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.


    Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Rossville Christian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Millar will lie in state after 5 p.m. today in Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville where relatives and friends will meet from 6 to 7 p.m.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville Christian Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel.

    Stella Rae Millar
    Stella Rae Millar, 66, Mesa, AZ, died Thursday, October 8, 1998, at the Mesa Lutheran Hospital.

    She was born March 3,1932 at Gaines, WV, die daughter of Vorice Edward and Bertha Hamner Marley.
    She had lived in Mesa the past 14 years. She grew up in West Virginia, and was graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School in Buckhannon, WV. She had lived in the Maple Hill and Rossville communities before moving to Arizona. She and her husband managed the Nickerson Farms Restaurant at Paxico, and then the XIT Restaurant on 1-70 at Maple Hill. They later owned and operated Millar Restaurant in Maple Hill and later at Rossville. She moved to Mesa in 1984.

    She was married to Howard E. Millar on July 24,1956 at Sutton, WV. He died August 27,1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, Howard Millar, Jr., and a grandson, David Hamm.
