    Rebecca Wines
    Mrs. Rebecca Wines 82, passed away Sunday, December 22, at Holton, Kansas, after a lingering illness. She had been bedfast over three years.
    Mrs. Wines was a pioneer settler of Rossville community coming here in the Sixties with her parents. Her maiden name was Marney, being a sister of the late James, Jonathan and William Marney.
    She was born Dec. 7, 1858 in Putnam County, Missouri.
    Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Walter Crouse of Auburn, Kansas; a son Jesse Henry of Miami, Okla.; and one sister, Mrs. Belle Stum, of Rossville, several nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 1:00 in the Rossville Christian church, conducted by C. K. Thomas, of Kimberlin Heights, Tenn.
    Music was furnished by Mrs. Pete Navarre and Mrs. C. K. Thomas, Miss Edith Higginbotham, accompanist.
    Pallbearers were John Stum, Joe Marney, Dudley Marney, Glenn Marney, and Ivan Marney.
    Burial was in Rossville cemetery.
