    Roberta M. Lasswell
    Roberta M. Lasswell died Saturday, January 7,2017 at the age of 92 at her rural Emmett home. She was born to Robert and Jessie Marshall on August 22, 1924. Roberta was raised in the
    Mayetta, Delia, and Emmett areas. She graduated from Soldier High School.

    On January 22, 1945 she married the love of her life Marion Dale Lasswell. Roberta and Marion had three children, Rodney Lasswell (Donna), Glenda Lasswell, and Debra Doolittle (Alan). Roberta was blessed with three grandchildren, Christie Redmon, Adam and Nathan Doolittle. She also had three great-grandchildren, D.J., Zack, and Savannah Redmon. Roberta loved fishing and gardening, but the most important thing was her family.

    After Marion passed away on January 1, 1968, Roberta went back to school at Washburn University where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, with honors, in elementary education. She taught fourth grade at St. Marys Elementary for twenty years.

    Roberta was preceded in death by her husband Marion, parents Robert and Jessie Marshall, a brother Lawrence Marshall and a sister Rose Frost.

    Funeral services were at the Emmett United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 11,2017. Burial followed in the St. Clere Cemetery.
