    MRS. ELLEN BERKEY
    Mrs. Ellen Berkey, 90, formerly of Rossville, died at the home of her son, Wednesday, in Russell. She was born in Somerset. Pa., November 11, 1850 and came to Kansas in 1885. She lived at Rossville until four years ago, when she went to Russell to make her home with her son. She was a member of the Rossville Methodist church.
    She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Edith Zickefoose of Stapleton, Neb.; two sons F. B. Berkey of Russell and Charles Berkey of Rossviile; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Rossville Methodist church, and burial will be in the Ross¬ville cemetery. The body is at the Parker Mortuary.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Berkey were held Saturday after¬noon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church, with the Rev. Don Jones officiating.
    Music was furnished by Mrs. Don Berkey accompanied Mrs. Irene Campbell.
    Pallbearers were grandsons: Don
    Berkey, Homer Berkey, Robert Ber¬key, Arthur Berkey, W. B. Berkey, and Bill Burgett.

Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Berkey, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Art Berkey, Hollywood, Calif.: Mrs. Helen Michael and son Gary, of Glendale, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Burgett,, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Vor- hies, Mr. and M'is. C. J. Maust, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Maust, Dwane and Delores Vorhies, Mr. and Mrs. Chas Dean, Mr. Delbert Dean. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Maddux. Mr. and Mrs. William Maddox, all of Topeka.


    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berkey drove out to Russell, Kansas, Saturday to see his mother, Mrs. Ellen Berkey, who is seriously ill at the home of her son Guy Berkey. Later—Mrs. Berkey passed away Wednesday night.

    We wish to express our apprecia¬tion for the many acts of kindness, expressions of sympathy and condo¬lence extended by our friends and neighbors during the recent illness and death of our mother, Ellen Berkey.

    Mr. and Mrs. Chas Berkey drove out to Russell, Tuesday to see Grandma Berkey who is seriously ill at the home of her son Guy Berkey.
