  Documents » Slide Show		Anniversary- McCoy, Robert and Lura 1 Bob McCoys Celebrate 40th Wedding Anniversary with Card Party Mr. and Mrs. Bob McCoy, Rossville, were honored with a card party Saturday, November 27, in observance of their 40th wedding anniversary. Their daughters, Mrs. Linda Seitz and Mrs. Lois Lacock, and their families hosted the party. A number of their friends and relatives spent the evening playing cards and reminiscing about the “good old days.” The couple’s grandchildren, Sharon, Ronda and Brenda Seitz, and Renae, Jeannie and Kerry Lacock, helped with the serving of refreshments. Mrs. Irene Cowger, a friend of the family, made the beautiful anniversary cake. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Dale Scully, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hanson, Lori and Lonnie, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Marten, Alma; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Marten, Wamego; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mannell, Holton; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cowger, Soldier; Mr. and Mrs. Owen Stratton, Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Lonsinger and Doug, Tulsa, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seitz, Sharon, Ronda and Brenda, Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lacock, Renae, Jeannie and Kerry, Rossville. Prior to the party, the McCoys, Seitzes and Lacocks enjoyed a dinner at the Mainstreeter in Rossville.
  		Anniversary- McCoy, Robert and Lura 2 Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McCoy Will Celebrate 50th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McCoy, Rossville, will be guests of honor at a reception on Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Rossville Community Center from 2 to 4 p.m. The couple requests no gifts. They will be celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Hosts for the event will be their two daughters and their families — Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seitz and family, Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lacock and family, Rossville. The couple has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Robert S. McCoy and Lura McNay were married November 27, 1936, in Topeka.
  		Anniversary- McCoy, Robert and Lura 3 Bob and Lura McCoy Bob and Lura McCoy, Rossville, will be guests of honor at a reception in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Rossville United Methodist Church. Hosts will be their children, Linda and Albert Seitz, Ottawa, and Lois and Tom Lacock, Rossville. They have six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Robert and Lura McCoy were married Nov. 27, 1936, in Topeka. Mr. McCoy is retired from Rossville public schools. Mrs. McCoy is retired from Montgomery Ward in Topeka.

  Documents		Marriage- McCoy, Lois-Lacock, Thomas Lois McCoy & Tom Lacock married in Palm ceremony Lois LaVon McCoy daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McCoy, and Thomas P. Lacock, son of Mrs. William Lacock and the late Mr. Lacock, were married at 3:00 p.m. April 7th in the Rossville Methodist Church. The Rev. Don Jones officiated at the double ring ceremony. Nuptial music was furnished by Mrs. Joe Campbell, organist. She also accompanied Carol Adams, soloist, who sang The Wedding Prayer. For her wedding the bride chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace. The bodice featured a scalloped sabrina neckline and front trim of seed pearls and sequins. Rosettes accented the back waistline. Her finger-tip length vail edged with lace fall from a crown of pleated nylon trimmed with seed pearls and sequins. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses. Attending the bride were her sister, Mrs. Albert J. Seitz, St. Marys, and her cousin, Miss Barbara Jean Spears, Topeka. They wore identical street - length dresses of pink chiffon covered with white nylon lace. The bodices featured draped midriffs trimmed with roses. The bride’s attendants carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations and Easter lilies. Sharon Irene Seitz, St. Marys, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a pink nylon dress with white lace trim. The ring bearer was Bobby Finny, of Topeka. James Lacock, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man; and another brother, Clinton Lacock, was groomsman. Miss Janet Hause, Rossville, was in charge of the guest book. Ushers were J. W. Adams, Rossville, and James Henderson, Topeka. A reception was held following the wedding at the Rossville Community Center. Those assisting were Mrs. Arch Cowger, Soldier, Mrs. Clinton Lacock, Topeka, Lois Jones, Topeka, Carolyn Stratton, Louisville, Mrs. Scott Kelsey, Charlene Perry, Marie Stiles, and Sharon Viergever, all of Rossville. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Rossville High School. The bride attended Clark’s. School of Business and is now employed by the Kansas State Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Lacock attended Washburn University and is now employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. After a honeymoon in Texas, the couple will live in Topeka at 1610 Lincoln.
  		Bridal Shower- McCoy, Lois LOIS McCOY IS HONORED AT BRIDAL SHOWER Miss Lois McCoy whose marriage to Mr. Tom Lacock took place Sunday, April 7, was honored with a bridal shower given by Mrs. Scott Kelsey on March 31.
