    Anita McGrew Macha
    Anita Joan McGrew Macha, 57, Fallbrook, Calif., died Sunday, May 24, 1992. She had cancer. No services were held.
    She was born January 5, 1935, in Dunlap, Ks.
    She graduated from Council Grove High School in 1952. She attended business college in 1953-54, and worked at Emporia State in 1955.
    She married Benjamin Edward Macha on April 5, 1955, in Council Grove. He survives. He was in the Marine Corps. She began working at Fallbrook Public Utility District as secretary-treasurer in 1973. She retired March 29, 1991, due to medical reasons.
    Mrs. Macha was active with the Red Cross during her husband’s 20 years with the Marine Corps. She was the president of the Chamber of Commerce in 1979 and was in Soroptimists from 1975 to 1984.
    Mrs. Macha was the daughter-in-law of Helen Martinek Macha, Rossville, and the late Richard “Dick” Macha.
    Other survivors include two daughters, Kathryn McDonell, Byron, Calif., and Benita Dambach, Corona, Calif.; her parents, John and Perla McGrew, San Juan, Tex.; three sisters, Teresa McGrew, New Mexico, Cherri Kearney, Maryland, and Jeanne Peebles, Kansas; and two granddaughters.
    The family requests that donations be made to Fallbrook Hospice, P.O. Box 103, Fallbrook, CA 92088.

    Anita McGrew Macha
    Anita Joan McGrew Macha, 57, of Fallbrook died May 24 after a heroic battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 5, 1935 in Dunlap, Kan.

    No services are will be held.

    She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Benjamin Macha; 2 daughters, Kathryn McDonell of Byron and Benita Dambach of Corona; her parents, John and Perla McGrew of San Juan, Tex.; 3 sisters, Teresa McGrew of New Mexico, Cherri Kearney of Maryland and Jeanne Peebles of Kansas; and 2 granddaughters, Shawna Marie and Shannon Nicole Dambach.

    Mrs. Macha was active with the Red Cross during her husband’s 20 years with the Marine Corps. She was the president of the Chamber of Commerce in 1979 and was in Soroptomists from 1975 to 1984.

    She graduated from Council Grove High School in 1952, where she played clarinet in the band. She attended business college in 1953-54. She worked at Emporia State in 1955 and married Benjamin Edward Macha on April 5, 1955 in Council Grove, Kan. They moved all across the United States and Japan.

    Moving to Fallbrook in 1973 she began working at the Fallbrook Public Utility District as secretary-treasurer. She retired March 29, 1991 due to medical reasons.

    The family request that donations be made to Fallbrook Hospice, P.O. Box 103, Fallbrook, CA 92088, which assisted in her fight. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who loved her, but she will always be in their hearts and memories.
