    Mr. and Mrs. George W. DeBacker, Sr. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, April 16, with a reception in their home to be hosted by their sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. DeBacker, Kansas City, and Mr. and Mrs. George DeBacker, Jr., Delia.

    No invitations are being sent but friends and relatives are invited to call between 2:00 and 4:00p.m. The couple asked that no gifts be presented.

    Mr. and Mrs. DeBacker were married April 26, 1922, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia and will celebrate the Anniversary Mass on the 16th.

    They have resided in the Delia community their 50 years where he has been a farmer and cattleman.

    The DeBackers have five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

    MARGARET E. DeBACKER
    Mrs. Margaret E. DeBacker, 78, St. Marys, died Thursday, February 11, 1982, at a Topeka nursing home.
    She was born August 29, 1903, at Enid, Okla., the daughter of Albert and Ellen Grace Mulligan. She moved as a young child to the Delia community where she spent most of her life. She moved to St. Marys in 1976.
    She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys, She was married to George W. DeBacker on April 26, 1922, at Delia. He died December 25, 1974. She also was preceded in death by a son, Gerald DeBacker, in 1981; and a sister, Sister Josephine Swezy of Denver, January 30, 1982.
    Survivors include a son, George DeBacker, Delia; two sisters, Frances Lyons, Kansas City, Mo., and Grace Raunzahn, San Antonio, Tex.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral Home.
