    MRS. ANNA KRATINA
    Mrs. Anna Kratina, age 80 years, died Monday evening. Nov. 11th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosa Penaz, at Delia.

    She came to this country 44 years ago, from Prelov Czechoslovakia, end spent all her years on a farm north of Rossville. She is survived by two sons, John jr. and Prank Kratina, two daughters, Mrs. Tresie Uhl and Mrs. Rosa Penaz, eight grand children and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held at the home Thursday, Nov. 14, at 1 o’clock

    Burial was in the Bohemian cemetery northeast of Rossville.
    KRATINA
    Mrs. Anna Kratina, 80, of Rossville died Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Penez, in Delia, Kan. Surviving her are Mrs. Penez, another daughter, Mrs. George Ehl, Silver Lake; and two sons, Frank and John Kratina of Rossville. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 14, at the Bohemian hall. Burial will be in the Bohemian cemetery, Rossville.

    A PIONEER DIES
    Anna Kratina was born December 24, 1855, in Perlov, Checoslovakia, Moravia. She died November 14th, 1935. at 7:30 p. m. in the home of her daughter, M.rs. Joseph Penaz at Delia, Kansas. Locating on a farm in Shawnee county, four and a half decades ago the deceased lived out her life.

    Funeral services were held Thursday, November 14, at 1:30 p. m. at the Bohemian Hall. Rev. Bruce W. Davis conducting the services with interment in Bohemian cemetery. Mesdames Bruce Jamieson and Albert Reser sang a duet and the Bohemian choir, led by Mr. Benny Martinek rendered two hymns in the native tongue.

    The deceased is survived by two sons, Frank and John Kratina of Rossville, and two daughters, Mrs. Rosie Penaz, Delia, and Mrs. Tressie Uhl of Valencia. Mrs. Frank Dolezilek a sister and Mr. Frank Hromada a nephew, who lived with the deceased as a foster child and nine grandchildren, all residing nearby.

    Mrs. Kratina, in crossing the Atlantic forty-five years ago, required sixteen days. She learned to love her adopted country.

    CARD OF THANKS—-We wish to thank our many friends and relatives who so kindly assisted us during illness and death of our dear mother and Mrs. A. B. Jamieson, Mrs. Albert Reser, and Miss Higginbotham, for the music and the Bohemian quartet, also Mr. Thomas Cerny jr. His splendid speech offered words of comfort, which helped lighten our grief and sorrow. And for the many beautiful floral offerings.
