    Obituary- Berges, Leona
    ONAGA – Leona Ann “Roggenkamp” Berges, 90, of Onaga, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Community Hospital in Onaga.
    She was born November 5, 1923 at Wheaton, the daughter of Otto J. and Johanna F. Maskil Roggenkamp.
    Leona was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Onaga. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, and will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma and great-grandma.
    She married Dale K. Berges on June 30, 1947 at Wheaton. He died April 29, 1994.
    Leona was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Marcellus Roggenkamp and Jerry Roggenkamp, and a sister, Margie Annan.
    Survivors include a son, Eugene Berges (Deborah), Onaga; four daughters, Connie Ryan (Pat), Overland Park, Cathy Meier (Mike), Wichita, Nancy Rezac (Tom), Emmett, and Cindy Seele (Robin), Rossville; two brothers, Joe Roggenkamp, Onaga, and Paul Roggenkamp, Wheaton; one sister, Geraldine Keating, Albuquerque, NM, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 21st at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Onaga Cemetery. Leona will lie in state until 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. She will lie in state after 5:00 p.m. at the church where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., followed by visitation. Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, or the charity of the donor’s choice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 212, Onaga, 66521.
