    Rossville-Nona J. Droegemeier, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her home in Rossville.
    Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Rossville Christian Church. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Droegemeier will lie in state one hour before service time at the church on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Senior Center and sent in care of Piper Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 642, Rossville, Kansas 66533.     Nona J. Droegemeier, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her home in Rossville.
    She was born May 1, 1917 at Kingman, the daughter of Frank and Winifred Stearns Ross.
    She grew up in the Kingman community and graduated from Kingman High School.
    Mrs. Droegemeier was a member of the Rossville Christian Church.
    She was married to Harrison “Harry” Smith on December 13, 1938 at Kingman. He died March 11, 2006, she was also preceded in death by a son Christopher Kent Smith. On September 21, 2006 she married Charles “Chuck” Droegemeier at Rossville. He survives of the home.
    Other survivors include her son, Galen V. Smith, Lawrence; a sister, Phyllis Costner, Kingman; and grandchildren, Amanda Martinez and Craig Smith.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Senior Center and sent in care of Piper Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 642, Rossville, Kansas 66533.
