Mr. and Mrs. Cless were married Feb. 24, 1904, at the home of the bride’s parents north of Rossville with the Rev. Steward officiating. Mrs. Cless is the former Lida Shenk. They have one son, Floyd of Topeka. They were pleasantly surprised by a group of relatives and friends who gathered at their home Sunday and helped them observe their Golden Wedding anniversary. The table was covered with a lace cloth and decorated with a three-tier cake and candelabra. Mrs. Duane Parr cut the cake and Mrs. Leland Wagner was in charge of the guest book. She was born Feb. 17, 1880, in Pennsylvania and lived nearly all her life at Rossville. She was a resident of Topeka about two years. Mrs. Cless was a member of the Christian Church at Rossville. Her husband, Walter J. Cless, died in July 1958. She is survived by a son, Floyd M. Cless, 1631 W. 28th; a granddaughter, Mrs. Beverly Wagner of St. Paul, Minn.; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Earl Riddle, 120 Buchanan, and Mrs. Fannie Reser, 322 Quincy. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Parker Mortuary with burial in the Rossville Cemetery.
