    Nellie F. Rees
    Nellie Florence Rees, 91, Rossville, died Monday, December 18, 1995, at the Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka.

    She was born March 8, 1904, in Cimmaron, the daughter of George T. and Mamie Whitmore Shope. She lived in Topeka until she moved to Grantville in 1930, moved to western Kansas for a short time and returned to Grantville. In 1951, she moved to Rossville. Before her marriage, she had worked for Beatrice Foods in Topeka. She was a member of the Grantville Flower Club.

    She was married to Harry F. Rees, who died December 24, 1963. An infant daughter, Betty Florence Rees, died in 1945.

    She is survived by three sons, George R. Rees, Delia, Roy E. Rees, Rossville, and Glenn E. Rees, Topeka; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Rees will lie in state after 1:00 Wednesday at the Parker- Price Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening.

    Her funeral service will be at 2:00 Thursday at the mortuary. Interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.

    ROSSVILLE — Nellie Florence Rees, 91, Rossville, died Monday, Dec. 18, 1995, at a Topeka hospital.

    She was born March 8, 1904, in Cimarron, the daughter of George T. and Mamie Whitmore Shope. She lived in Topeka before she moved to Grantville in 1930. She lived in western Kansas before she returned to Grantville. She lived in Rossville since 1951. She formerly worked for Beatrice Foods in Topeka.

    She was a member of the Grantville Flower Club.

    She was married to Harry F. Rees Feb. 5, 1930, in Grantville. He died Dec. 24, 1963. An infant daughter, Betty Florence Rees, died in 1945.

    Survivors include three sons, George R. Rees, Delia, Roy E. Rees, Rossville, and Glenn E. Rees, Topeka; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and five great-greatgrandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Grantville Cemetery. Mrs. Rees will lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
