    Mrs. Ruby Rezac
    ROSSVILLE - Mrs. Ruby Rezac, 87, Rossville, died Sunday, March 11, 1990, at a St. Marys nursing home.

    Mrs. Rezac taught in several schools in Jackson and Pottawatomie counties before she was married.

    She was born April 29, 1902, in St. Marys, the daughter of Charles and Esther Halquist Steele.

    She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the auxiliary to Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, both in Rossville, and a former member of Amaryllis Chapter No. 321 of Order of Eastern Star in Rossville.

    She married Ernest W. Rezac. Nov. 24, 1928, in Kansas City, Kan. He survives.

    Other survivors include two sons, Ernest E. Rezac, Silver Lake, and Darrel Rezac, Whitewater, Colo.; two brothers, Clifford Steele, Rossville, and Harold Steele, St. Marys; two sisters, Almeda Carlson, Kansas City, Mo., and Adeline Rademacher, Prairie Village; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Rezac will lie in state after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Rossville.
