    Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Van Vleck will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary New Years day at their home, 188 Holman, Topeka, Kansas.

    Arthur Van Vleck and Mary Wax were united in marriage in Rossville by the Rev. Talmage January 1, 1906.

    They both grew up in the Rossville community and made this their home until they moved to Topeka thirty-seven years ago. They have four children, Irving, Homer, Mrs. Ethel McGrew and Mrs. Helen Murphy, all of Topeka. Eight grand-children and three great grand-children, all will be home except two grand-daughters, one with her husband and two children is in Germany and the other and her husband is in San Diego, Calif.

    No invitations have been sent but Mr. and Mrs. Van Vleck will have open house at their home from two to five New Years Day.

    MRS. A.I. VAN VLECK
    Mrs. Mary I. Van Vleck, 71, of 188 Holman, Topeka, died Saturday morning in a Topeka hospital. She was born August 20, 1887, in StanŽton county and was brought to Rossville by her parents when she was a baby. She attended school in Rossville and was a former member of the Rossville Methodist church. She and Mr. Van Vleck were married here in 1906 and moved to Topeka in the fall of 1915.
    She was a member of the First Methodist church and Alrich Relief Corps No. 17 of Topeka.
    She is survived by her husband, Arthur I. Van Vleck; two sons, HomŽer G. Van Vleck of Prairie Village and Irvin H. Van Vleck of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel McGrew and Mrs. Helen Murphy of Topeka, one brother, Clinton C. Wax of Winter Park, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. George Reichman and Mrs. Bertha Myers of Topeka and Mrs. Anna Cotton of North Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren: and six great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held TuesŽday at Parker Funeral Home in Topeka with burial in Rossville Cemetery.
