    Esther V. Dick

    Esther V. Dick, 91, of Topeka, formerly of Perry, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1995, at Brewster Place Care Center.

    She was born Sept. 23, 1904, in Ozawkie, the daughter of H.G. and Mae Hawkins Wolfe, and lived in Jefferson County many years. She lived in Perry from 1927 to 1979. She taught in schools in Jefferson and Shawnee counties 17 years.

    She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perry since 1916 and was a Sunday school teacher at the church many years. She was a graduate of the Flo V. Menninger Bible Study course and taught the Bile course many years. She also was a member of the Topeka YWCA. She was a volunteer at Stormont-Vail and St. Francis hospitals in Topeka and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

    She was married to Roy V. Dick June 14, 1927 in Oskaloosa. He died Jan. 30, 1959.
    Nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Perry. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry. Mrs. Dick will lie in state from noon to 8:30 p.m. today at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
