Obituary- Baker, Jack

Jack Baker
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home for Jack L. Baker, 51, 825 N. Monroe, who died Friday night a few hours after he was admitted to a Topeka hospital. He had a lung ailment.
He was born April 21, 1924, in Topeka. He lived in Orange County, Calif., about 10 years and spent the rest of his life in Topeka.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific area. He was a plumbing worker before he retired.
Survivors include two sons, Steve L. Baker, Little Rock, Ark., and Gary Baker, Garden Grove, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Moore, Foun-tain Valley, Calif., and Mrs. Karen Sheets; Huntington Beach, Calif.; and his mother, Mrs. Ethel Baker, at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. lsabell Reed, 1026 N. Jackson, and Evelyn Baker, 1017 N. Van Buren; three brothers, Leslie Baker, Marysville, Calif., and George Baker and Ed Baker, both at home; a foster brother, Lonnie Baker, at home; and five grandchil¬dren.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Baker will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
