Obituary- Marney, Howard J.

HOWARD MARNEY
Howard James Marney, 67, of Route 8, Topeka, died November 1 in a Topeka hospital. Services were held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with burial in Rossville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stanley Davis, James Dick, Raymond Duley, Paul Johnson, Charley Thompson, and Oscar McKenzie. Honorary pallbearers were Ted Pearce, Clayton Ray, Edward Pearce, and Cecil Boyer.

Mr. Marney was born October 15, 1893, at Belvue and was a contractor by trade.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gladys Marney of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Fowler of Kansas City, Mrs. Ida Watson of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Mrs. Zelma Trammell of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Audrey Goodale of Kansas City, and Mrs. Marlene Robinson, Miami, Florida; four sons, Jim and Gifford Marney of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Raymond Marney of Dallas, and Howard Marney Jr. of the home; two brothers, Clyde Marney of Trenton, Mo., and Glenn Marney of Rossville; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Patton of Rossville, and Mrs. Ruth Manness of American Fork, Utah; 26 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Hurley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
