Obituary- Martinek, Stephen 2

Steven Martinek

Services for Steven A. Martinek, 74, 147 Story, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Martinek will lie in state from 2 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Brennan Funeral Home, where parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Martinek was found dead at his home Tuesday, July 18, 1972.

Born Aug. 3, 1897, at Rossville, he had lived in Topeka since 1933.

He worked for Kansas Power and Light Co. until his retirement in 1962.

He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

He was married to Mary T. Bravence in 1920 in Rossville. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Steve J. Martinek, 1110 Lincoln, and Clarence J. Martinek, 906 Gage; six brothers, Bill Martinek, Silver Lake, Vince Martinek, Delia, and Albert Martinek, Henry Martinek, Emil Martinek and Benny Martinek, all of Rossville; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Kozak, Osage City, Mrs. Stella Kovar, Rossville, Mrs. Mae Brown, Kansas City, and Mrs. Helen Macha, Council Grove; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
