Obituary- Lacock, Agnes 1

Agnes H. Lacock
Agnes H. Lacock, 102, died March 22, 2013, at the St. Marys Manor.

She was born Jan. 25, 1911, at St. Marys, the daughter of Carl F. and Alma Brown Carlson. Agnes grew up in the St. Marys community and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1928.

Mrs. Lacock had worked at the Mission Motel, Mr. D's and later for Simecka's Hy-Klas, all in St. Marys. She was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church, Hoy-Heim American Legion Auxilliary, St. Marys Senior Center, where she was a past board member, and a life member of Arthur Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

On Feb. 4, 1934, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Lacock at Topeka. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Roy Carlson, and two sisters, Evelyn Fields and Adena Fields.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis "Butch" Lacock and wife Judy of Lawrence and Mike Lacock of St. Marys.

Funeral services were March 26 at Piper Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Valley View Cemetery, St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Senior Center and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, KS 66536.
